I like to prepare it, but it's very hard to get a pilchard fish here in Australia. I'm sure you will enjoy eating this Filipino food. Ingredients: 1 kilo pilchard fish 1/2 cup vinegar 1 medium onion 2 medium tomatoes 1 medium ginger 5 pieces lemon Method of preparing the pilchard fish: First, you have to clean and cut the head off the pilchard fish and put it into a bowl. Pour the vinegar into the bowl. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze it. Put the sliced onion, sliced tomatoes, ginger, and salt to taste in the bowl. Leave it out for one hour in the refrigerator before you eat it.  Tips for the best way of preparing this dish The fish is caught at the beach. It is cooked over a fire and eaten with salt and vinegar with your fingers.
