Creating an Online Magazine for Student Writing Our Syllabus | Our YahooGroup Site | 2003 EV_Online Members 1 | Members 2 | Members 3 | Members 4 | Members 5 Hi! We're the moderators. Here are our introductions and photos. I'm Sandy Peters. I've been teaching ESL for years—in the U.S., Spain, France, Germany, and Japan. Colorado is home to me now. I'm interested in online publication of student writing and co-publish TOPICS Online Magazine with my husband Thomas. Anne Davis with students at J.H. House Elementary School My name is Anne Davis. I have taught in an elementary school setting as a second, third, and fourth grade teacher. I have also been a remedial reading teacher, an instructional lead teacher, and an instructional technology specialist. Our ESL students have published on Topics, Sandy's e-zine. I now work at Georgia State University as an instructional technology coordinator. Currently, I am piloting a project with a group of fourth and fifth graders who are publishing their own web sites featuring their writings on current events. I'm Julia Karet. Sandy and I became enthused about e-publishing in Japan where we taught together. Since then, I've settled into teaching ESL full time at Chaffey College in southern CA. My writing students at Chaffey have enthusiastically published their work in Topics, Sandy's e-zine. I'm here to share what I know as a classroom-based teacher-facilitator."
