Meet the members of this online session! (Page 5)

Christine Bauer-Ramazani
Christine Bauer-Ramazani is one of the coordinators of the EV Online Session. As a teacher trainer and instructor at Saint Michael's College, she is deeply involved in all aspects of online teaching and has a wealth of experience in ESL, CALL, and business. She also has wonderful web pages that are chock full of links to useful online material for both students and teachers, as well as PowerPoints of her previous presentations at TESOL and other conferences.

I'm Christine Bauer-Ramazani, one of the coordinators of the EV Online sessions and would like to welcome all of the participants as well as introduce myself.

I'll be one of the moderators in the Communities of Practice session next week, but I'm also really interested in the wonderful materials that the moderators have ready to share with all of us. If you're a newcomer, we welcome you–please be assured, we all started there, with trepidation.

Soon you will be involved in some of the same projects that I got my students involved in, which are now published in Topics Online Magazine–the magazine that Sandy Peters publishes for teachers and students, and where you yourself can publish your students' work. And we are fortunate that she is sharing with us how to put together such a fabulous resource.

If you would like to read more about me, get my resource compendium of online links for teachers and students, or see some of my presentations at TESOL (in PowerPoint) about online teaching, please go to my web sites at:

Laingo Ramanantoanina with some of her students
Meet Laingo Ramanantoanina and the students in one of her intermediate classes. Laingo has two jobs. She teaches ESL students in Madagascar, and she is the mother of a 20-month-old daughter named Ziona.

Hello! I'm Laingo Ramanantoanina.
I have 4 years of teaching experience and this is my very first online course. I'm very excited to be involved in this session despite computer-related constraints.

Besides my job as an ESL teacher at the American Cultural Center of Antananarivo, Madagascar, I also work another job–that of being the mother of a 20-month-old girl. I love being with her, playing, snacking, and reading.

As for my husband, he works as a director of 2 private radio stations and often contributes music I need for my TGIF activities.
