Mollie Glassman and her students
Molly Glassman switched careers from journalism to teaching ESOL. She's looking forward to helping students create their own online mag.

Hi, my name is Molly Glassman and I'm new to TESOL and online learning. After 23 years as a journalist, I switched careers to teaching ESOL and am taking my final 3 credits this semester for my MA in TESOL at College of Notre Dame of Maryland. I'm also student teaching in elementary and middle school ESOL classes this spring in Baltimore.

Last year I worked with a middle school teacher to publish an ESOL students newsletter (on the mimeograph machine) and I can't wait to learn how to help the students create their own online mag.

Henriette Randrianasolo
Henriette Randriansolo enjoys teaching Reading and Writing and is intrigued by the idea of creating an online magazine.

I am Henriette Randrianasolo, I teach general English (ESL) to adult-learners and ESP at the American Cultural Center of Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar.

I particularly enjoy teaching Reading and Writing. "Creating an online magazine for student Writing" sounds really exciting to me, as I am relatively new to this medium. I am looking forward to exchanging ideas with you all.

Dennis Oliver
Dennis Oliver has many professional interests. He is involved in various aspects of Dave Sperling's web site-- Dave's ESL Cafe.

I'm Dennis Oliver. I've been professionally involved in ELT for over 30 years--as a teacher, curriculum developer, and textbook editor. I'm currently a community-college ESL teacher in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

I first became interested in online ELT in 1994 or 1995, when Rongchang Li and others at the University of Illinois put the EX*CHANGE project online; I created some materials that were posted there.

Then, in late 1995 or early 1996, I met Dave Sperling (who had, at that time, just started "Dave's ESL Cafe") and became involved in various aspects of his site--responding to student questions at the Help Center, creating online quizzes and resource materials for phrasal verbs and idioms, and, over the span of about three years, putting together a large collection of daily learning modules.

Janos Blasszauer
Janos Blasszauer has extensive experience teaching English. He is also involved with the British Council and is a member of the Webheads community.

I am Janos Blasszauer, a father of two, living in the provincial town of Nagykanizsa, in Hungary. I have been teaching English for 10 years now. I work at Batthyány Gimnázium (academic grammar school).

I have been the pedagogical advisor for the Zala County Pedagogical Institute for two years now. My main task is to organise and give hands-on presentations for secondary school teachers in the county, to advise heads of schools with regard to teaching English, and last but not least, to organise the county language competition.

I have been a British Council teacher trainer for several years and I moderate the BC in-service EFL teachers' list. I am also a member of the myEUROPE Advisory Board (http://myeurope.eun.org) and a member on the advisory board of the Spring Day in Europe project (http://futurum.eun.org).

I am also a member of the Webheads community and now happy to be a newbie here in this forum.
