Winarto is my last name: the letters of
"wi" in Chinese mean my family name, and
"Arto" is Indonesian. It means a good
manor a nice guy.

How
I Got My Name
Herman
Winarto from Indonesia
My
parents gave me the name Herman, maybe because they
want me to be like German people. They thought that
Germans get a good education.
Sometime
I don't like my name because some people say the
name Herman is Hermaprodite.
My
last name is also funny. I realize that my last
name is between Chinese and Indonesian. Winarto is
my last name: the letters of "wi" in Chinese mean
my family name, and "Arto" is Indonesian. It means
a good man or a nice guy.
On
the other hand, a lot of my friend say my last name
incorrectly, and they say it like Wiranto, the name
of an Indonesian military leader. I just laugh and
I take this as a funny experience.
