Turkey:
An East-West Mixture
Z. Aysin
Barista from Turkey
Turkey
is one of the most popular countries in the world
with its ancient ruins. Today when someone wants to
learn something about our ancestors, chances are
he'll visit Turkey. You can find more than your
expectations, but the irony is you can see
McDonalds or other fast food restaurants in the
middle of these ancient cities.
Turkey
is located in the middle of the East and the West,
and you can observe this East-West mixture at every
step. In every corner of Turkey, you can visit
carpet shops where they are selling handmade
carpets, but in the shops all the girls who are
weaving these carpets are wearing Levi's. In
Turkey, you can feel a half traditional, half
industrial culture at the same time.
