Sakura
is an authentic Japanese restaurant that was
founded in 1987. It is located on Church St. in
Burlington downtown. When
you walk down Church Street from the church, you
will soon see the pink sign on the left hand side,
which shows "SAKURA
-JAPANESE RESTAURANT-".
It
serves fine Japanese food, such as sushi, sashimi,
tempura, and sukiyaki. The picture above is una-ju
served with miso soup; this is broiled eel with
dark sauce served over hot rice in a Japanese style
box.
The
manager especially recommends the sushi that the
Japanese cook makes. Sushi Heaven (the
right picture below) is an assorted sushi that is
served on a miniature ship made of wood. It
includes the chef's choice of 2 rolls, 11 sashimi
and 14 nigiri sushi. It looks gorgeous and
attractive. We recommend that customers share
it.

There
is also a sushi-bar, and all sushi are prepared to
order and will be served when ready. Sushi
a-la-carte is available at all times, so customers
can request the menu. The cheapest sushi costs
$1.25 per 1 dish.
Also,
customers can choose between two kinds of
seatinga Japanese style table on Tatami mats
or a Western style table with chairs. The food is
good and the atmosphere is nice.
