In
general, Germans like to spend time outdoors
enjoying nature, fresh air and sunshine. As soon as
the temperature allows people to sit outdoors, they
do so. They love to drink their coffee and eat
their breakfast, lunch and dinner in outdoor
cafés and restaurants.
In
Germany, we have plenty of possible places to dine
at, including either small, cozy ones or big,
upscale ones. The furniture can be simplemade
out of plasticor it can be made out of iron
or wood.
Some
places use tablecloths, fine cutlery, and nice,
decorative accessories; while others don't use
much. The menu varies from place to place, as well
as from region to region.
You
will find cafes where they sell mainly fresh baked
cream cakes, fruit cakes and cookies, as well as
ice cream parlours where you get fresh homemade
Italian ice cream served in glass cups or in a
waffle.
Moreover,
you can visit restaurants and beer gardens which
are known for their traditional German food and
drinks, as well as foreign cuisine such as Italian,
Chinese and French food.
