When
I came to the U.S., I was surprised to find that it
is so hard to find an outdoor place where you can
drink coffee.
In
Bulgaria, people like to go somewhere to drink
coffee, eat some dessert, and see their
friends.
In
my home city, Plovdiv, we have a street with many
stores, small shops for silver and pictures and a
lot of cafes. This street is only for pedestrians,
so you can see many parents with their children.
Usually,
on Sunday, people like to go for a walk and meet
other people. You
can sit at one of those outdoor cafes, have a
conversation with your friends, and observe parents
walking with their kids.
In
those places you can order, tea, milk, and
different kinds of desserts. I
think that it is a good tradition, so we still have
it there.
