At
this market in the centre of Plovdiv, you
can find all the different kinds of
vegetables we have in Bulgaria. Also, if
you need citrus fruits, you can buy them
there because we import a lot of fruit
from other countries.

Market
places are very important and famous places for
Bulgarian people. In Plovdiv, we have a huge and
very interesting market.
It
is about 10,000 square feet big and is situated in
the centre of the city.
If
you want to go shopping at the market, you do not
need a car. You can use public transportation or
just walk if the weather is nice. I used to live
near this place, so I usually walked or rode my
bicycle.

But
the most attractive things are the vegetables
because we grow many different kinds of vegetables
in my country.
You
can see red peppers, orange carrots, green peppers,
purple eggplants, red and green tomatoes, yellow
lemons, and green watermelons.
I
think the best time for shopping is in the morning,
before the market is crowed. After five p.m., when
people leave their jobs, you will see many
customers talking about the products and prices.
I
think that there is something romantic about this
market. It is a symbol of my hometown, and I
sometimes feel nostalgic about it.
