I
gave a speech about television advertisements in my
conversation class. I talked about Japanese
advertisementsbut I spoke in English!
First,
I spoke about a Master Card advertisement. In this
advertisement, there is a businessman and a
businesswoman. They are busy and in a hurry, and
they want to take a taxi.
However,
there is a traffic jam. Next, they take a
helicopter. Finally, they pay with a Master Card.
The appeal of this ad is humor and ego.
Next,
I talked about a Pepsi Cola advertisement. The
Japanese Pepsi company uses a character. We call
this character Pepsiman. It is a cartoon. This
appeal is of this ad is also houmor. It's humorous.
Finally,
I talked about an English conversation company
advertisement. They used famous people to
advertise. These famous people are American like
Mariah Carey. This appeal is emotional and ego,
maybe.
I
enjoy this kind of class work, but it is a very
serious thing to speak in front of classroom in
English!
