Everybody would like to have good weather on their wedding day, wouldn't they? Only a few people have this luck but there is a
solution...
A famous legend, which comes from Italy says that if we want to have great weather at our wedding, we must bring some eggs to a Clarisse monastery.
A long time ago, in a village in Italy, it rained cats and dogs and the weather
was very cold. People fell ill and died.
To stop the rain the inhabitants called a nun, Sister Claire, for help. The latter told
these poor people to bring eggs to her chapel where she laid them on the altar. Amazingly, all of a sudden, the sun started shining again. Everybody got warm and the sick people healed.
This legend is also popular in Belgium. When the newlyweds-to-be want to make sure they’ll enjoy fine weather, the only thing they need is to find a Clarisse monastery and a chicken, which will be kind enough
to lay its eggs upon their request.
Legend or superstition ? Make up your own mind!
