The Times I Got to Go Fishing

Edgar Arrieta from Venezuela

I had many favorite places when I was a child, but my most favorite was the club house in my city. It is the biggest one in my city and also the most important.

It had a big pool, around five tennis courts, a basketball court, a little soccer court, many ballrooms where I spent dancing or went to parties, and a big wharf where I spent lots of time because I liked to go fishing.

Sometimes the staff prepared some competitions for all of the children. Also, there were some competitions among adults, and they invited the children to go fishing. This was a good experience because the competition was in the sea or gulf which was dangerous. We could catch big fish there like sharks.

I have a friend who invited me to go fishing. His father had a big boat, and they liked to fish. Whenever I went fishing, I felt relaxed, happy and excited because we always caught a big fish, and that's the most important thing for a fisherman.

I like to remember that place because I spent lots of happy moments there; and whenever I go back, I remember all those happy moments.
