My grandma was always telling us to get more exercise like swimming, climbing trees, or running around the park.

My Sister and I Used to Fight

André Silva from Brazil

When my sister and I were younger, we used to fight a lot. My parents, whom I love very much, always spanked us when the fight was serious, and some of our fights were very serious. Once, when we were fighting, she got a knife and ran to me.

During another fight I hit her in the stomach with my knee. It took a while for her to breathe normally again. We couldn't play any kind of game together without fighting. Nowadays, we just scream at each other, but there are no fights.

We didn't always fight when we were younger. When we were getting along, we used to play at our grandmother's house, where there were many trees that we could climb and sit in all day long. In front of my grandmother's house, there was a kind of park where many children could go and play whatever they wanted to. We liked to play there.

My grandma was always telling us to get more exercise like swimming, climbing trees, or running around the park. My sister and I, whom I now love, never liked to do any kind of exercise, so we were always finding excuses for her not to do it.

My grandma never believed us. Once, I didn't want to do what she told me to do, and she locked me in the bathroom for two hours. After those two hours, she asked me if I still wanted to do it or if I would like to spend two more hours there. That was a funny experience for me.
