The Teacher Told Me to Make a Speech
Farhan
Qureshi from Pakistan
Four
years ago I was living in a boarding house. One
night when I was sleeping, a teacher came to my
room and woke me up. It was 3 o'clock in the
morning. He said, "Son, repeat to me the address
which was given by a famous person in Pakistan in
1930." I was a little surprised and didn't know
what he was talking about. I was nervous and
looking at his face. Then he told me to change
clothes and go to the class, read the address and
come back.
When
I came back, he stopped me in the hall and told me
to make exactly the same speech that the famous
person made in 1930. I did what he said, but I
thought it was strange. The next morning I was
surprised to see a cartoon of me making the speech
in the hall. Everybody was laughing and making fun
of me. I also enjoyed it. I'll never forget that
funny situation.

I Had a Head Full of Rollers
Angela
Bardelli from Italy
One
day I was in my house, relaxing and setting my
hair. My head was full of rollers when the door
bell rang. I thought that it was my husband at the
door ringing the bell, but unfortunately it wasn't.
When
I opened the door, an unknown person was in front
of me. He was looking for someone else. It was
embarrassing because of all the rollers in my hair.
I immediately closed the door, but then I looked
out the peep hole and saw the man was surprised and
embarrassed, too. I laughed and laughed.
