Pokémon merchandise is all over the place. No matter where you go, Pokémon will follow you. It is amazing how the market is oversaturated with Pokémon merchandise.

Pokémon merchandise is all over the place. No matter where you go, Pokémon will follow you. It is amazing how the market is oversaturated with Pokémon merchandise. All the stores have it.

Different companies are using Pokémon merchandise to attract kids and to get their parents to buy. They are using it to increase sells, and they are doing a great job.

If you go to Burger King, they give Pokémon toys to children; small figures are given away with the purchase of a Happy Meal. If you go to the malls, you will see clothes, books, shoes, toys, everything with the Pokémon creatures. It seems that it is the best business of the year. If something has a Pokémon creature on it, it will sell.

I was very surprised to hear that Pokémon had reached my country. I recently talked to my niece, and just out of curiosity I asked her if she had heard of Pokémon. She told me that it's the biggest thing there.

She said all the kids wanted to have Pokémon things, but she also said that it is a big controversy. Some people think Pokémon has subliminal messages that encourage kids to be aggressive and violent. She said that some schools have banned the cards. They have exactly the same products as the U.S.A., and they are facing the same crisis.
