"At first, it is hard for people tell them apart, but after a while they sometimes can. But even in the family, they don’t always know who is who."

Mamoun and Mansour are Just Alike!

Muner Jamjoon from Saudi Arabia

Muner Jamjoon says his twin brothers Mamoun and Mansour look very much alike and like to do exactly the same things. All three brothers studied English as a second language at St. Michael's College in Vermont.

It's very nice to have twin brothers. They are just alike. They are always doing the same thing--in everything, and they like the same things.

For example, they like to eat the same foods. At St. Michael's, their favorite food for breakfast is cereal--corn flakes or raisin bran. For lunch they prefer pizza.

They like to wear the same clothes, and they spend their free time together. They even like to be alone together! They are so close that sometimes I feel a little lonely. But, I love being with them.

They like the same sport. They have been playing soccer for ten years. They defend the goal together.

The only thing different is their majors in the university. Mamoun studied accounting, and now he works in an accounting office. Mansour studied business, and now he works in a business company. His company sells rice and evaporated milk in Germany and India.

At first, it is hard for people tell them apart, but after a while they some-times can. Even in the family, we don’t always know who is who.

The teachers in school had a hard time, so they put Mamoun and Mansour in different classes so they could know who they were talking to.

Even now, talking on the phone, I don’t always know who is talking to me. After a while, yes, I know. Five summers ago, I couldn’t tell apart from the back, but now one of them is a little bit taller. It’s hard to see, but there is just a little difference.

They like the same things. They both like soccer. They have been playing it for ten years. They defend the goal together. When they play one puts his shirt in and the other leaves it out. Then the other players can tell who is who!

They also love cars. Their favorite cars are the BMW and the Mercedes. They like to drive a lot. They take long drives to go to places.

But mostly, they like to read. They are very religious and read the Holy Koran a lot.
