About
twelve years ago, my husband and I decided to buy a
new house. We decided to look at older homes first
and then began to look at new homes.
One
of my favorite homes was in a neighborhood that
seemed quiet, neat and safe, so we bought the house
that I liked.
However,
one morning I opened the garage door, and then I
got in my car and left it running because I had
forgotten my lunch bag.
At
that moment, I heard a noise coming from the
garage. I ran out and saw a young man drive off
with my car. After that, I called 911 and reported
the robbery. The operator asked me what happened.
While I explained, a patrol car was on its way to
look for my car.
Finally,
after 10 minutes, a police officer called me to let
me know that they had caught the robber. The robber
had crashed my car. This kind of incident taught me
not to be so trusting even though the area I moved
into seemed to be a nice place.
