When I think about a wonderful time in childhood, I usually think about my friends and I at the playground. We went there almost every day. I always felt so energetic when I were there. There was always something waiting for me there.

My friends and I did a lot of things together at the playground. We could play anything that we wanted, and we did not have to worry about time or safety. This place was next to my house where there was empty land. There were many tree—big and small, a small pool, and a small yard.

My friends and I went to this area every day to play. There were five children in our group, two girls and three boys. Some days, we were there from dusk until dawn. We always played hide and seek or chase and tag. I had a secret place where I could hide when we played hide and seek, but sometimes my friends discovered my place, so I had to find a new one.

When we got bored with those games, we sat at the edge of the pool to relax. We also liked to climb the tall trees in the afternoon, but my most favorite activity was playing around a small bonfire at night if I could convince my brother to make one.

Once we tried to build a small house in a tree, but it was too hard for us, so we built one out of paper boxes and tree limbs under a big tree. When we finished it, everybody tried to get in at the same time and almost broke it because it was too small for five children.

We brought toys, foods, and even pillows to the house and pretended to be a family. Some nights, I convinced my older brother to make a small bonfire for us. Then we sat around the bonfire singing songs, telling jokes, and watching the stars.

At that time, I didn't realize that it was such a good time for me. Now that I am grown up, I think about those times and realize that my childhood was the happiest time in my life.
