We can buy lottery tickets for the weekly lotteries and many kinds of instant lottery tickets.

In Korea, there are many stands in the street where you can buy foods, newspapers, and flowers. There are also many stands in the subway stations.

One special kind of stand found in the subway is the lottery stand. At this stand, we can buy lottery tickets for the weekly lotteries and many kinds of instant lottery tickets.

The lottery stand is a small one, and only one person sits there to sell the tickets. Most of the sellers are old.

When someone buys an instant lottery ticket, you can see him take a coin and scratch the ticket to see if he's a winner.

Usually when other people who are passing through the subway tunnel see someone buying a lottery ticket, they think that person is a little foolish because instant lotteries are still not very common in Korea. I think most people think he just wants to get money easily without working.
