I No Longer
Have My Own Room

When
I used to live in my parents house, I never had any
problems of privacy because freedom and trust
always played a big role in my family. In our house
I had the top floor just for me.
Living
up there allowed me to have my own secret garden,
and the stairs discouraged my mother from coming
upstairs. My siblings respected my privacy, and
they never used to snoop into my stuff.
Now
things have changed, but it does not bother me,
because I know they can control their curiosity.
For my living arrangements now, I first chose a
dormitory option, but I fast changed my mind and
took an apartment with a roommate.
We
are both in morning classes, and for someone like
me who is used to having a lot of privacy, it is a
little disturbing, not because my roommate snoops
in my stuff, but just because we are always at home
at the same time. However, we try to have some
separate activities to help us maintain our
relationship for the best.
