I
Felt Trapped in the Cave

Five
years ago, I want with my family to Aruba, a
Caribbean island. We spent the first days of our
vacation on the beach and in the swimming pool.
Everything was so relaxing.
After
we got suntanned, we wanted to do something
different, so we rented a car and went to a place
called "The Love Tunnel." We didn't know anything
about that place, but we found out there was a cave
and people could walk through it.
My
mother was the first one to say that she didn't
want to go in the cave. The people who were there
gave us a lantern and told us to follow the signs
to go through the cave. Nobody came with us. When
we got into the cave, my brother decided to return
and went back to my mother. My stepfather, my
sister, and I weren't worried, so we started
walking through the cave.
The
problem was that the signs were difficult to find;
they were very small and the path was too narrow,
but we continued walking. Half way through, my
stepfather started having claustrophobia, but he
had to continue because the return was even more
difficult. After that, my sister got scared because
we hadn't found the exit. She wanted to return, but
I convinced her to continue. Then we came to a
place where we couldn't find the signs which we had
to follow to find the exit.
At
that moment, my heart sank. I felt trapped in the
cave. We walked for about thirty minutes longer,
but we still didn't see any signs to follow.
Fortunately, my stepfather saw where there was a
hole above us and we were able to get out of the
cave. The experience wasn't funny. We don't want to
repeat it again.
