Everybody
Needs Some Privacy
Lourdes
Joza from Ecuador
In
everybody's life there is always the necessity to
have at least a little privacy. It can be privacy
in your personal life, at work, or at school. It
seems like even though you are a very social person
who likes joining big groups, there is always a
moment in which you need to have your own space and
privacy.
Privacy
is something very important for many people, but
why is it so important for them? I think it is
because privacy is related to being mature or
adult. Why? As everybody remembers, when we were
children, we didn't have a right to our privacy.
Our parents used to decide almost everything for
us, even our clothes and what to eat. Our opinion
didn't have too much value at that time, and it was
impossible to hide something from them.
But
as the years pass, and we start to be more mature,
we want to have more independence. Our parents also
start to let us make our own decisions. Then we
feel great because we feel like we are starting to
become an adult and finally have our privacy. Of
course, when we are teenagers, privacy is over
things that are valuable, but only for
us.
I
think invading the privacy of someone is like a
crime. Everybody has their own things that are
important only for them. I'm a very curious person,
but I don't like to violate the rights of anybody
because I know how important it is for everybody,
and I wouldn't like anyone to invade my privacy.
Maybe you can't have too many material things, but
privacy is something free that I think everybody
has to respect.
