A Call from a Con Artist

Yesterday, a con artist called me at home. He introduced himself to me, but I didn't pay any attention. He told me he was going to take just ten minutes of my time, and he started to advertise a product to me.

Even more surprising, he had known my name, address, and many information about me. Finally, he asked about my credit card number in order to send that product to me. I said how could you ask me about my credit card number for something I don't need to buy.

So he understood that he is going to hear something more impolite, and he ended the call. By the way, the product which he tried to sell was a vending machine.

Why I Decided to Buy a Cell Phone

Amer Jorbarani from Syria

Today I decided to buy a cell phone. Even if I don't like to carry it all the time, I have to do it.

The reason for having a cell phone is yesterday my daughter was sick at the school. Her teacher tried to contact me or my wife by phone, but nobody was at home. so they called my brother at his cell phone because I put his cell phone number in case of emergency.

The issue was my brother had to drive back 36 miles from his job to pick up my daughter from school. So that is the reason that makes me buy a cell phone

They think about what they are talking about, so they don't pay attention to their driving.

Driving and Phoning is Dangerous

In my opinion, people shouldn't be allowed to use cell phones while driving because it causes many car accidents on the roads. According to recent research, when talking on their cell phones, people don't drive carefully. They think about what they are talking about, so they don't pay attention to their driving.

In addition, when people hold a phone, they can not keep both hands on the steering wheel. As a result, if something happens, they can't handle the situation right away.
