Jin-Taek Lee from Korea My grandfather is eighty-eight years old. He is very healthy. He lives in the countryside. Last year, he told my father that he had a stomach ache. He and my father went to the hospital, and a doctor told them that he had stomach cancer. He told him that he needed an operation, but because he was very old, he might die while being operated on. We had no other choice, however, so after two hours of conversation, my family decided to permit the operation. Before the operation, the doctor did some tests and prepared my grandfather for the operation. After three days, the doctor came to us and asked if he was really eighty-seven years old? He said that his body and constitution were like those of a 50-year old man, and he was strong enough to overcome that serious operation. Our family wasn't standing at the crossroads any longer. His operation was successful. When my grandfather left the hospital, the doctor said he was an incredible person. He said that he had never seen such a healthy person at his age.
